The great potential of resource-efficient strategies in reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) has increasingly been recognized. In this context, the International Resource Panel was invited to present the main findings from its recent report “Resource Efficiency and Climate Change: Material Efficiency Strategies for a Low-Carbon Future” in the webinar co-hosted by the Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and LEDS LAC. The presentation will show that increasing material efficiency is a key opportunity to achieve the aspirations of the Paris Agreement. In the same webinar, circular economy strategies will also be discussed. The webinar will be held in Spanish.
